My front yard has been invaded by Kikuyu grass. Read up on it and just might let it go ahead and take over. Tired of fighting the all hassles of Saint Augustine.

Can you post some pictures of yours? It's pretty rare to see Kikuyu around here. Have you had it a couple of years? If so what do the seed heads look like? Reason I ask is because I think you could have King Ranch Bluestem. It's very invasive and taking over a lot of TX. It's about to be Bluestem seed head season. You'll know it because it's seed heads will be about a foot tall and grow back to that length shortly after mowing. When it's not seed head season and if you're covered up with it, it will pretty much look like turf grass. It's very tough to control.

I'd let it take over then. Well you don't really have much of a choice lol. If you and your neighbors lawns butt up let him know his lawn is about to be Kikuyu too.

I'd do it now. I know Preen and Vigoro have come out with a packaged CGM product. Not sure how available it is. Quick search on Howard Garrett's site says 15-20lbs per 1000. CGM is 9-0-0. At his rates that is putting down 1.5lbs+ of actual nitrogen per 1000. That's a lot of N at once. I'll be interested in your results

Lots of nurseries stock CGM in 40lbs bags now. I see it at mine every time I go. Should be easy to find. Check feed stores too

Green acres in Coppell has some listed on their site. Iโ€™ve never been to this store but pass it every day to/from work. I have no clue if this is a good price or not.

Amen to that.
