How do you not spook the bass in very clear water like that? The Guadalupe bass at Lost Maples are super finicky, I've thrown everything at them except flies but they never take anything I try. thanks CarlB for your question! As mentioned above we spot n stalk. Before getting to the bank i will stay back away from the bank and just watch the water for 5min. If i see a fish i will use whatever cover be it a tree or bushes to block their view or just wait till the fish is facing away to make my cast. Be sneaky don't stomp your feet or make unesesarry movements Wearing natural colors helps too. The Guads at lost maples are under tremendous fishing pressure from all the campers and are always weary. Try spot n stalk there and throw something at them they have never seen before hope this answered your question
