Hornitos, Gran Centenario, and Espolòn are good options under $30

It’s been over 25 years since I endured my last tequila intoxication event. I spent most of the night at the foot of the toilet in the den. No mas tequila ever again and am proud to have kept my promise

That's funny. Any what is the purpose of the snake in there? I guess it is a marketing thing, but I don't know, maybe it adds to the flavor or something? The worm in the bottle was thing in the 70's, its purpose was that if the worm was broken, the Tequila was not good, like an expiration date. But really, just a marketing thing, because eating the worm was cool and was suppose to get you toasted. I don't personally remember eating a worm, but apprantly if you eat one you get so toasted you won't remember. roflmao

You may have Covid, then......

Nope. My gf has had it though and believe it or not, I never got it. 2 negative tests.

A couple sips of140 proof clear every night keeps the covid away grin

Cabo Wabo Reposado and Don Eduardo Anejo are my two favorites. Keep chilled in the freezer, served straight up with a slice of orange. Thank me later.

You typically don’t sip the mainstream margarita-making tequilas unless you’re a die hard connoisseur, don’t have any other options or happen to know those out there that drink well. CCTX mentioned a couple of good ones at the lower/middle tier but if you’ll increase your price point a bit it opens you up to the truly flavorful tequilas.

There are some restaurants that have extensive tequila menus so you can pay for one drink without committing to the bottle. I like to find bargains in the Duty Free shops in Mexico. The “REAL” from Don Julio will knock your socks off with it’s flavor profile and soft lingering finish but my current favorite is Herradura’s “Seleccion Suprema” which you’d swear was a high end Scotch except for the agave and floral character.

Once you’ve had a REALLY good sipping tequila you realize what the others are shooting for.
