I like listening to him.. now granted some of the stuff I take with a grain of salt. Each sport kind of has to find their own limits I think is the real issue. Like Golf - Equipment, Balls, Driver Length, Dimple Pattern, etc. I think though he has really failed at adapting to a changing industry/sport, and what you need to compete.

I drew Randy as a partner in the old Pro-Am Bassmaster Top 150 (prior to the Elites). He was a really nice down to earth partner to fish with, guess he's changed over the years.

I would think he's same old hippie type he was back then. I do think he struggles now with what used to come so easy to so many of them. I can think of plenty of other "pros" to ridicule and pick on than him

At least the man can admit when he is wrong.

I think he is like the rest of us in some ways.. really resistant to change. In the case about electronics, its an expensive change unless you are sponsored. I get it.. but if you want to compete.. and he is a competitive angler by choice.. you either compete or you don't.

The way technology is advancing, I think it's easy for the old school guys to kinda get "left behind" in a way. Resistant to change, just fishing the way you always have etc. With as much pressure these lakes get each day compared to the past, electronics play a huge role in finding fish. 20 years ago offshore fish were somewhat unpressured. That's not the case anymore
