I too have gone to a dedicated battery for my Garmin Unit because they are power hungry. I started using a 18V Milwaukee battery that I use on my power tools, they make a small adapter that allows you to hook up wire to it. I got tired of swapping them out as they would only last a few hours and so I just bought a small AGM 12V battery. David how many amp hours were your Milwaukee batteries that only lasted a couple of hours? Red

If I buy any more electronics, I’m going to have to tow a barge that has a generator, and about 40 batteries.

Does anybody know if they make one with 10 AWG wires to connect to? And is this a good one from Amazon? Red

Update on the Milwaukee batteries.
I bought a 8.0 amp hour M18 battery and have used it 4 to 5 hours, it stills shows a 75% charge after that and takes very little time to recharge.
