I do know I won't willingly sign up to fish a tourney that "jeff" may be fishing as we will all just be "crybabies" if he wins but cheated and we call him on it.

Jeff from Iowa At what point does not following the rules count as cheating. Does each person get to decide for themselves? If so, I guess there is no reason to have any rules. Ignorance of the rules or accidentally violating the rules is a violation. Knowingly and purposefully violating the rules shows bad character (in my opinion).

Trust me the real crybaby is the one that can't follow all of the rules like all the other competitors. They are the ones that think there is somehow justification in their actions cause as Jeff states...they are just 5 yards outside of being legal. You fail to realize that to honest, honorable competitors...it doesn't matter how far outside of the established perimeter you are. I'm sure Jeff is a wonderful scratch golfer as he doesn't consider his ball a few feet out of bounds a penalty. I'd hate to fish anywhere near someone with his reasoning.

Cheating is cheating. There are no degrees of cheating. Whether you fished out of bounds or prefished and tied fish to be picked up or used dynamite, cheating is still cheating. Period !

We were fishing at Brownwood one midweek morning about a month ago and found 3 bass tied up separately along a row of stumps. Biggest about 5 the others three pounds apiece. Let them go as they were very healthy. Figured we ruined someone’s weekday tournament.
That's awesome... next time find out when the next tournament is coming up and have the game warden stake them out so that they are caught and charged

Jeff reminds me of Nancy P, rules and regs don’t apply.

Anytime you find fish tied up, in a basket, Or somehow secured for a cheater to retrieve.... contact local GW so they can set up and catch the cheaters in the act.
