Probably just outside of your six hour max, but if you are will to drive just a little farther, Table Rock is your lake.

Texoma for a good balance of size and quantity
Arbuckle in Oklahoma has some huge ones, but that lake can be stingier than Fork and Ray Roberts. Never seen lake wide lock jaw like Iโve seen at Arbuckle.

Talk to the locals on PK, no spots have been stocked in 25 years. Before the alga kills years ago they were there and they dropped the size limit because they didn't get big enough. I have fished it every year a bunch,15-20 times a year and no spots.

Alan Henry is loaded with spots, but I would make sure you had reasonable expectations before traveling across the state to go there. What do you consider a "big" spotted bass?
Also agree with Phil,b, put the knife to them, at least on Henry.
I have caught many spots over 3 lbs, but have not broken the 4lb mark yet.
I know several people that have caught several 4's and 5's though, although those catches are more on the rare side.

I was there camping July 4th like i do every year and caught probably a dozen just fishing off the bank a few minutes each morning

Add me to the list of those that have never seen a spot caught on P.K.
Been fishing it a handful of times a year for the last 6 years or so.

Have caught plenty in the past before the alga kill, haven't caught one in 12-14 years. Largest I caught years ago went nearly 3 #

Might be time to make a trip there and find em. Arbuckle is another one. Fishrd there once and got couple decent largemouth and smallies but no spots. Time to try it again.

If you make the trip to Table Rock, you should stop at Beaver Lake on the way. Loaded with em.
Not wthin six hours but if you ever get to Alabama, be sure and get on the Coosa River chain of lakes. BIG spots. Logan Martin, Neely Henry, etc.
I think Coosa River spots were used to stock California lakes where records are currently being caught.
