I’d have a real hard time buying anyone’s used boat because I’ve seen how most people take care of them.

How about a 19'8" 2017 Legend Alpha 199, 225 Proxs, 112lb Ultrex, 4 bank charger, 2- HDS 9's and an HDS-12, 2 - 8 ft power poles, with motor warranty until 3/6/2023 for $45,500? I think that's pretty reasonable. PM me if you're interested. Nope, I bought my Legend 5 years ago for less than half that (although mine didn't have those fancy electronics), the prices have just inflated crazy. You bought a 3 year old Alpha 199 for under $22,000? 5 years ago Legend was rocking the house. If you bought it for that someone got screwed...and it wasn't you! LOL. (unless it was a dog). I paid $30,000 for a new Champ in 1997!! It was older than 3 years but yes sir I agree it was a good deal!

It's definitely a great market if you have a nice used rig. We've flipped some champions and it's crazy what they'll bring. You can rig one out and get 40k for an early model 210, 221, 223. But....boats haven't changed much in 15 or so years. Why spend 70k+ when you can get just as much boat for 35-40k when rigged out correctly.

When I'm worrying about other peoples [censored] it's usually because I'm ungrateful for my own blessings in life... which I almost always didn't deserve in the first place.

The good thing about overpriced boats is anyone can simply walk away.
If people are buying them at the prices listed, they aren't overpriced.
Would you sell your boat for $30,000 if you knew someone would give you $40,000 for it?

Maybe it's just me, but I'm perfectly fine with having my boat having more resell value. Seems like buying new is the better option now. Plus warranty and whatnot.
