So if I have a point 1 right behind driver seat and using it for my console unit, I can share it to my front unit? Live at console and elite Ti at bow connected ..

So if I have a point 1 right behind driver seat and using it for my console unit, I can share it to my front unit? Live at console and elite Ti at bow connected .. The Point1 connects to a NMEA2000 network, so it should be accessible to any unit that can connect to that NMEA network - whether it's one unit, or more. I don't know much about the Elite Ti, but for starters, it must connect to the NMEA2000 network. I downloaded the Elite Ti2 installation manual, and learned that it does support the connection of a NMEA2000 network, so the first hurdle is crossed. Second one would be if the unit will identify the Point1 and offer settings for it. My guess is that it will. The Point1 comes with a 15' network cable, so it might be feasible to move the connected cable from the console display to the Elite Ti2 temporarily for a test to see if the unit recognizes the Point1 under "NMEA2000 settings". If it does, all you may need is another NMEA2000 cable and a network T with a terminator on one end. A bonus is that a NMEA2000 network will allow a TI2 unit and any other NMEA2000-connected Lowrance unit to share waypoints. Update: Are you saying you already have the NMEA2000 network connected to both units?

I installed one like 3 years ago and I've had the hardest time calibrating it. I've never been able to drive in a circle slow enough or accurately enough to officially calibrate it. It shows me driving sideways across the lake most days. If you use Point 1 on your console graph while driving down the lake it can do some funny things. You don't need Point 1 at the console as you're not sitting still while in the cockpit. I keep my console graph extension on the GPS Course instead of the point 1. Front graph gets Heading Up from Point 1 so you can line up waypoints. The point one updates your map quicker than the Internal antenna.

The Elite Ti wil work with the Point One. I have an Eliite Ti at the console and TI2 at the bow. The Point one is over the transom transducer. All are connected to a NMEA network. The console unit is set to use the point one for heading and GPS, the bow unit ( TM transducer) is set to use internal GPS and the Point One for heading only. ( as Flippin-Out said). Works great. No map spin, and I can save new waypoints on both units at the same time. Makes it way easier to fish offshore. I can spotlock near a waypoint and know exactly where to cast.

Some people set a Point1 as the GPS antenna for all units, and when you see the map for a waypoint and how far it is from you, it can be off by a boat length if the Point1 is at the transom and the map display (and you) are standing at the bow. The way you are set up, a saved waypoint is right over the feature that the transducer sees - highly repeatable when you return another day.
