My old neighbor who is in the a/c business just stopped by and checked (everything) out and the problem is.....drum roll......the defrost board. I'm picking up a new board in the morning and we'll be good to go. Hope it will last throughout the night. If anyone in S.A. needs a great and honest a/c person call Joel at My Guy Heating and Air (210) 998-9791 and tell him Ken recommended him. Look, I’m glad you got your stuff fixed but any of Jon’s Doomsday Scenarios would have been much more exciting. Next time maybe fiddle with it more. I fiddled with everything I knew to fiddle with and I'm not about to fiddle with something I know very little about. Let the real fiddlers fiddle with it.

Defrost board bad causes the reversing valve to not operate properly... and can cause.... drum roll.... over pressure. But hey... all the "ot professionals" know better, so rock on. I will just avoid these threads as I can only handle so much recklessness and bad advise being spewed.
