I have pulled people who have been stranded on the lake before and refused to take a dime because I would hope that someone would return the favor if it ever happened to me. Early in the video he said that the reason the guy must have an airboat in that part of the country was to do just what he did, pull people off of sandbars. If he had blown a motor on the airboat pulling that boat who would have paid to replace the motor? If it was too high, call someone else. I agree it seems like an excessive fee but he could have said no and called someone else. You agree to pay the price before the job is done then there is no reason to go online bashing the guy after he did his work.

If it was my boat it would probably still be sitting there because I sure couldn't pay a $2500 tow.

I personally like it. Then if I am in a similar situation I know to look elsewhere. As Long as it is honest and based on actual facts I find it’s a service to other fishermen.

I personally would have spent the night in my boat until I could find someone else to assist, just on principle.

I’ve helped pull people back to ramps and have never thought of asking for $$. It’s called helping your fellow man. Unless it’s your job and you’ve been called specifically to do that job, I think it’s pretty chitty to charge someone for help. But that’s just me.

I’m sure Ish was really glad he brought his name up in that whole call out mess.

That is crazy. That $2,500 was a good payday but will cost him more in the end.
