All the more reason to go back to BASS and leave the dumpster fire that is FLW and MLF.

Done with them because he violated a rule that has been in place for several years. What a crybaby.

It’s no different than equipment on a boat. If he wants to sacrifice the ride and stability of a big boat with his aluminum rig to get into skinny water, good for him. If I’m not mistaken he was fishing the same or a really similar rig when mlf went up north and he whacked them in big water. Fall back on the Ol’ it’s a rule argument because you realized your original one was dumb. Bout right.

still a huge bummer. If willing to use a little rig like that

permanent steering wheel and livewell should be how that reads.

Back years ago BASS changed their rules when people started bringing small boats for a particular tournament.
I think their rule was you had to use the same boat all year long. If you changed boats it had to be similar.

Break the rules and get disqualified. I have no problems with it.

Wheeler has changed the electronics game. Look how many have 3 units up front now. And.... regardless of what brand they pimp, all the 3 graphers (up front) have a Garmin livescope.

Nobody is bailing unless they have a legend exemption points, only other way is to quit and try to re-qualify through the opens and I don't see many sponsors paying guys the same amount to do that plus its a big gamble.

that "dumpster fire" seems to be doing very well with over 800 hours of TV exposure on five networks for their fishermen now... couple that with there being almost no live sports being played right now and it's going to create an even bigger demand for major league fishing to fill the TV programming void.....add the growing popularity of high school and college fishing and the future looks bright for MLF......

Hackney and Christie both are well within qualification points wise in the Opens to make the Elites again. They just have one more Open left.

Yeah, I think he's been in an aluminum Triton for awhile now. I don't know if he went smaller for this particular tournament, sounds like it.

One more open? There is 8 total opens in 2 divisions, there has only been 2 so far. They have SIX more to fish to qualify through combined divisions or THREE more to qualify through 1 division. Christie is currently 4th overall with still 6 to go and Hackney is 60th...no where near "well within qualification points."

I can kinda see where he is coming from....as he said,he's fished tournaments all over the country with several different trails and never heard of "an engine too small" rule....and unless FLW brought it to everybody's attention which they obviously didn't do,it would be very easy to overlook....and last but not least, there is no viable or neccessary reason to have a rule like this....
