so, I was getting my oil change and while waiting looked at a couple of raptors. 75k out the door with no haggle room, at all!
yes they are nice and a pickup set up like they are with a 140 mph speedo is cool but I just can't see that much in a truck.

reality is I could buy a very nice used 2 yr old boat and a nice f150 for 75k and maybe have some lure change left.

6 cyl. is pushing 425 or 475 hp (looked at a mustang shelby gt350 too) I don't remember, pushin a lil ole six to its limits I am thinkin.

I looked at one that was $82,000 out the door in Provo, Utah. Insane.... I went with the Sierra AT4. $59,000 out the door. Cash.

Had an '18 Raptor for 2 years and 40k before I went back to a Super Duty. There is not other factory truck on the market that can compare. Was a hoot to drive on and off road but towing capabilities are limited by suspension and tires. When the next generation comes out I may try it again.

Much better choice Bill...and you can tow a lot more with the AT4.
I have a Sierra with the 6.2L and its been great to pull car trailers and the boat with. Buddy has a Raptor and it squatted like we loaded Rosie O'Donnel and Oprah on the back of it when we used his truck to pull my boat last weekend...he loves his truck put hates the way it tows

There is a reason when you search for used Ford pickups, half of them are Raptors.

I paid $10,000 for a 3 bedroom house and 1 acre. Flipped it a few years later for $95,000.
I paid $22,000 for my 2012 Mustang new, I was offered $2000 trade in once.

I mentally make this comparison when I get the new vehicle itch. vehicles are the worst investment.

The Honda Ridgeline can almost tow more than a Raptor. Its completely useless unless you live in the desert. Not to mention its the ugliest ford ever.

Love my Raptor, its a 2014 extended cab. 7500 tow capacity.

Liked my honda ridgeline before that also. 5000 tow capacity.

Dont like the 2016 and up Raptors they look to normal and like a work truck.

This makes a lot of sense.

hennessey velociraptor, pretty pricey.

My buddy has a VelociRaptor and he let me go run it on a fishing trip last year. Wow, is all I can say. It was the most insane truck I’ve ever seen but he had it decked out with a crazy stereo and a 45 mounted at your right knee which just made me drool.

But you’re right..... crazy money for a new one.

What kind of boat do you have?

I tow my jeep and trailer and gear at 7500-8000 w no issues and my boat it doesnt even know is there except for the gas mileage dropping to single digits.
