I did fish my Xpress DC 21 out of Port O Connor a few times. It didn’t have any bad effects on the boat or trailer but as soon as it came out I put the muffs on the outboard and ran it w freshwater and washed out the boat including putting in the plug and filling the bilge area then draining out.
It's only a good cast if you catch a fish... Personal Best: 11.62 lbs

I did it for a week , washed it down each outing. Not a single issue with the boat.
I knew it would kill the trailer but I didn’t care.
The trailer is where you can’t save inside square tubing

It seems Xpress uses the same trailer for their bass boats and their bay boats. I wonder if It would help to go to a freshwater lake and back the trailer in to flush It out on the way home?

It was a square tube back track trailer, early 2000’s
Just no way to get the saltwater out of it , if open channels much better

Yea, the Xpress I had was sitting on an open channel trailer. It was a ‘99 model I think. Might’ve had different trailers then.

If he has an aluminum beam trailer no big deal but tube is no go in salt, absolutely no go I speak from experience. One dip in salt and 100% you just gave it cancer, your trailer will be toast in 2 years tops and I mean eaten from the inside out.

Aluminum tube, you're good to go.
