On FB about the keyboard cowboys or girls on the fake Christie(y) page. I guess the guide business was slow on the Big G? Anybody else see that? Can't help but like that guy.

I saw that. I think he did a good job explaining why he was frustrated with this account. And apparently thinks he knows who it is. I was thinking maybe it was actually Jason Christy (the one with the Y not IE) but I doubt he would spoof accounts, since he is already generally disliked online.

I was just wondering if those matrix numbers are still good and the view history numbers are still great. I had a chance to be a neilson pollster and during the questions about channel and programming I never saw anything about fishing on the discovery channel. However there was the question on the espn channel about fishing and cornhole.

I guess big o finally got kicked off this board but by the looks of things he was right, I mean now there’s entry fees after being promised none? I degress the question is are those fantastic internet numbers still breaking records? Are there going to be any pros jumping ship because of the entry fee debacle.

I guess some of y'all read different article than i did. The bassfan article says the entry fees for next year haven't been voted on yet. And the it is proposed it would end up being 14 grand for the year.

I believe they said no entry for 3 years then they would reassess the amount of money coming in and decide whether they could go forward with no entry or not.
What I see is a bunch of guys that were ready to jump ship from their current trails to BPT as long as it was free entry. Now they are all whinning about having a fee. Even though they all knew this could happen.
Just like anything else this was all about money, not better fish handling, catching and weighing more fish or a better way to run a tournament. I kind of like watching BPT and MLF just to learn how to catch dinks when I’m having a bad day. Hopefully they all make it.

Retirement best job ever.

Was beginning to think I was the only one that actually read the article... also have yet to hear a single angler "whine" about or say anything about the potential entry fee. Just a bunch of folks with no skins in the game making assumptions and gossiping like old hens.

If Big O was Luke D, and that's a big IF, it would be very ironic that he talked about hiding behind the keyboard on the video when many here asked Big O who exactly he is.

From what I read it didnt sound like the fees were optional. Duckett said they would revisit that in the future if they wanted to take the fees away. That sounds like that part is decided

Everything in that article says fees likely. Likely higher payback. Not yet voted on. What Duckett was talking about was if they have entry fees after next year

I think you should read it again, it's not optional. It says the fees are necessary "in this environment" then it says they could have a vote again if/when they get to a point where that's possible. Then they blame us because we arent ready for what they offer.

Bass Pro Tour anglers might be fishing for greater prize purses in 2021 than they've had available this year, but a big chunk of that money will likely come from their own bank accounts as industry budget cuts related to the COVID-19 pandemic may bring at least a temporary halt to the tour's no-entry-fee status.
