Beartrap, is your bpt getting any live coverage on ESPN?

No ....ESPN got out of hunting/fishing shows once before.....it will be interesting to see if fishing gets any coverage when normal sporting events resume....

Beartrap must have dancers feet from all the tap dancing he’s doing to spin the obvious; There is trouble in paradise. And it ain’t just COVID.

The last straw could be coming as well. The anglers will soon learn how much power they truly have in this angler driven league. They will likely vote against entry fees since that’s the number one reason most joined. So if they have entry fees next year, you’ll know management ultimately makes the decisions.

Thankfully TFF holds these threads awhile so we can have some fun with one another in the future.

Actually that's not the reason they joined. I don't get why people keep saying that. When BPT was formed they were to pay entry fees. After they committed. Then they had an angler vote and decided not to pay entries

Believe me,I don’t have a dog in this fight and actually have two friends still fishing BASS Elite series and I hope for their sake that both trails do well.....
I make no claims to being a expert prognosticator of what the future holds for Professional bass fishing But for right now,I’m gonna go along with what the top 80 fishermen in the sport believe.....

James, take a look at the bottom 40 tournament earnings on the BPT this year. Granted a shortened season & no entry fees but still a big problem for the best (being sarcastic) angler field in the world.

Tournament payouts just suck on all tours.

Any bets on a few more anglers leaving for the elites?

Every BPT angler fishing the Opens that qualifies for the Elites leave plus two exemptions

If Boyd finishes below the relegation line when it comes time do you think he actually leaves the tour?

He's getting his money whether he fishes or not, and he's rich, so I think yes, he would drop out.

His average of 2 years is in the high 60's still about the cut line but not great, average in the 70's for AOY will get you kicked down to FLW circuit.

Anyone who thinks things are all peaches over at BASS is kidding themselves, both BASS and MLFLW are in trouble with this Covid mess

That is funny. Because nobody will requalify through the opens. But the legend status will be used again. Guarantee it.
