The Chinese will will make just about anything to the exact specs they are contracted for. If you give them a prototype to manufacture that gets a scratch on it on the way there, they will make every one they produce with a scratch. Many American companies are going to have relearn what American pride is and unlearn American greed. A few around still have it and need to remind the rest.

American Reels - Posted as a learning toolStumbled across this - virtually all the American made reels are here. Learning them will save you a ton of money and you'll have a "lifetime" reel to pass down. A lot of us are now doing this - enough to support rebuilders and new parts and conversions for old reels.
