agree....loved stock car racing when cars were stock...go back and make them run cars off the showroom floor (with a few safety features to protect the drivers)….nothing out there now but a bunch of cookie cutter custom race cars with different decals on them....

Go to your local Dirt Track. Even they are all custom built. Very few "STOCK" car anything left when it comes to racing.

As if clearly racism does not exist in Alabama. It's on full display at Talladega. At least a dozen vendors selling Confederate flags directly across from the speedway, a private plane flying a Confederate flag banner with a message to "Defund NASCAR" made multiple passes over the track yesterday.

I tend to take somebody at their word until theyve proved in their character otherwise.

I admit I am very skeptical in today's environment that an actual rope fashioned into a noose would be left in a garage stall. I truly hope it wasn't the case and this is a jump the gun misunderstanding. Maybe I give too much credit to my fellow humans.

I also do think that if you like the confederate flag then more power to ya and don't just assume racist bastard. Now when said flag waiver opens his or her mouth some times I might change my mind.

Also, I have been in a fair amount of both NASCAR(recently) and Indy Car pits (long ago) , I know a ton of people involved in the sport and crew for some of them when they race short track stuff which is my forte' in the world of traction and handling. It's not at all what is being portrayed in the pits, there are people of color all over the pits , I know several over the wall guys that are non white and they are damn good at it, faster than I ever was at changing tires.
