Kaepernick originally protested without kneeling, but on Sept. 1, 2016, he transitioned to taking a knee in protest instead. This was based on advice from retired Green Beret Nate Boyer, who suggested kneeling during the ceremony would be more respectful towards veterans. It was his radical wife. Back when I was in HS and college the teams didn’t come onto the field until after the National Anthem. That’s my solution or don’t play the anthem at all. I agree with this. Never understood why the Anthem was played before games, other than for marketing purposes by the leagues.

Back when I was in HS and college the teams didn’t come onto the field until after the National Anthem. That’s my solution or don’t play the anthem at all. I agree with this. Never understood why the Anthem was played before games, other than for marketing purposes by the leagues. Teams stayed in the locker prior to 2009. The Department of Defense also spent $6.8 million from 2012-2015 for "paid patriotism" at sporting events.

Stand for the Flag, Kneel for the Cross. This only. Follow it. No problem.

Kaepernick makes me want to vomit! My brother ingested too much Agent Orange in Nam and it killed him way too early! But he would never have taken a knee! For those of us who got drafted but chose other alternatives military-wise I think that creep is a disgrace to this country. Standing and honoring the National Anthem is what its alll about.....
