It hasn't died out, I think we have just given up on containing it. Folks whining about masks and preventing the spread of COVID-19 never would have made it through gas, sugar, butter, car, and tire rationing, blackouts, and other sacrifices during WWII. Could you imagine people complying with ordered blackouts today?

Are we in WWIII? Gadzooks! I think chinese citizens have to wear masks all the time. It would be wonderful if we were more like the chinese, because they can spread diseases around the world with no repercussions. I guess also that you have given up on Science. If you did not, then you would know that cotton cloth masks, and N95 and P95 masks do nothing to prevent the Wuhan Flu.
