Crew on board is a factor but another factor is the destination. Launching a satellite has more flexibility because it doesnt have a moving target it is aiming for, it's just going into orbit. This launch time was precisely calculated and planned based on the ISS orbit.

Yes it's just you. They are very futuristic along with the Falcon 9 rocket and the Crew Dragon spacecraft.

What a bunch of Karens. This rocket ship is going to hit speeds so fast the stars it flies by look like just streaks of light but a few clouds float by and they wimp out. Are they afraid the fire that shoots out the back of this thing will Just go out if it gets wet? It’s not a Roman candle, it’s a freaking rocket ship. What if it’s cloudy when they try to land, are they just going to fly around the world looking for places where they can see the ground from the window? I think they are just milking it so they can get better weekend ratings and the pictures will be able to be taken of it for higher than the first 2000 feet of fight? How about this, float up a hot air ballon with cameras on it so they can take pictures of the rocket ship as it bursts throw the tops of the clouds when it comes screaming by? I hate astronomy for this very reason. They always say you can see shooting stars at a certain time, but they are never there when you get up at 3:00 to go see them. I’m starting to believe we never went the moon. They had clouds back then to.

I think the suits look cool, modern and sleek and obviously functional, it's 2020 and the space program mirrors that, it's called the dragon now, dragons in space cannot be questioned, of course I'm not an old either

Yeah man, I agree - they look cool. The inside of that crew capsule is pretty sweet, too. All nice and clean, without a bunch of exposed wires and hoses and junk. It all looks like something out of a movie. I dig the aesthetic of the whole deal.

I always wondered what audience Star Trek was catering to when Captain Kirk ended up shirtless in every episode. Now I know. grin

Nah...old school will always be cool.

Still, though, that nice futuristic look is pretty tight I think.
