I’d get a VRBO Or AirBnB in Holiday Island or somewhere on the lake and river system. Beautiful scenery and peaceful. About a 15-20 minute drive into town. Eureka is quite crowded with a ton of cheap cheap motels. Very charming place, though. We we’re there last Thanksgiving.
LET’S GO BRANDON!!!

while there go 23 south to withrow springs state park, west side of the road just south of the visitor center is a small picnic area with a natural spring, pick some watercress and try the water (won't hurt ya, comes out of the ground right there), ice cold and the watercress is pretty tasty.
kings river east on 62 was great fishin as a kid, fathers side of the family was from there, spent 14 summers there on the farm.

Go see Christ of the Ozarks even if you’re not into religion I went as a kid and remember enjoying it. I am not real religious but the wife and kids are. I plan on trying to make it.
