We pay for the premium membership. Now they don't open till 10. The line is around the building and it's not moving. We're done with them. Carry on.

Gotta ask. Why is there a line waiting for Sam's to open?
Biden famously said in the New York Observer, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

Thank you for reminding me that I just need to stay the ___ home today. We were going to head to the costco, but it will likely be the same. Everybody saw, or knows someone who has to grill a hot dog today to be a good Memorial day person and wants to run out and get some mustard or hot dog buns. You could have cleared that line though if you would just start fake coughing real loud. That will scatter most folks.

Gotta ask. Why is there a line waiting for Sam's to open? Been that way for two months. Doesn’t really make sense Kroger and Walmart now seem nearly fully stocked including hand sanitizer and a very full aisle of paper goods. The only thing I don’t see is Lysol spray and Clorox Wipes everything else pretty much past the hoarding silly season. Seems very weird for lines anywhere right now.

Some businesses still have COVID restrictions like limiting numbers in the stores, allowing old folks in early, and so forth. It's the new normal for awhile.
May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

Agreed. the stores have seen fully stocked the last few times I've been out scavenging supplies. I never did see any shortage of meat. I have the feeling come this fall local food pantries are going to have a lot of donations of canned beans, ramen noodles and canned chicken...people were really getting on buying cans of chicken.

Our Walmart is still out of meat.

Absolutely still a meat shortage. You should know more about short meat than anybody I would have thought.

That's strange Bob. the WinCo, Kroger, and Tom Thumb in my neighborhood all have consistently had good supplies of all types of meat.

Gotta ask. Why is there a line waiting for Sam's to open? The morning hours are dedicated to business account members, and I think on some days recently they allowed only at-(high)risk (for covid) members to shop for a couple of hours. I would imagine that many of those business members often get their supplies necessary for operation from multiple sources. (My wife does.) Some of those sources are still having a tough time, so small businesses that try to stay afloat concentrate on getting supplies where they can be found. Those same businesses probably have open hours later in the day, so owners shop early in order to open their business on time. When stocking was good, supplies could still be available after-hours, but not now. Trucks come in overnight, and if you want some, you better be sooner rather than later. My wife's business was nip and tuck on having to shut down because of lack of supplies. That's a huge incentive to be in line in hopes of getting disinfecting products, for instance. What you consider a year's supply of something for your home might not be enough to last a week in a business. It's not uncommon for us to have two flatbeds we can barely push weekly or more often, and we aren't hoarding anything - that's just how much we use in an on-going basis. Many of the items on those flatbeds are not available where you might shop for your home consumption, nor would you want the size/package-quantity we buy.

There is a hell of a shortage, retail is limiting people. Wholesale is a free for all to grab whatever you can get. It's a gd mess.
