Roughly 80-100yds depending on diameter of line. It casts very, very well. The lower line capacity makes long range presentations something you have to consider if using it for more than P&F. It can be used for other presentations though.

I hate when someone starts an answer with it depends. But...

There are so many Tatula models that are better for different techniques. The new ā€˜20 SV model is great. But so are the Elites. The Elites are very smooth.

If you want casting distance, Iā€™d get the Elite. If pitching, the P/F; and skipping look at the SV.

I have all of the above and for normal Texas-rig, moving baits, I prefer the elite. The others are specialty purposes.

For casting distance get your hands on a Type R

150s are hard to beat. I like them better than my 100s.

Try an Elite Long Cast. They will help you bomb a bait.

2020 Tatula Elite for long casts
2020 Tatula SV TW for controlled casting, the pre 2020 ones are great also but they are slightly larger in profile.
Tatula CT is my favorite for moving baits.
Tatula 150 HS I really like for my C-rig.
I also have a Tatula 60 year anniversary reel that I like for throwing light weight baits like a baby brush hog on a Tx. rig, but I bought that one before the Elite was out.

Picked up my Type R's for $80 each new in box. That's 1/3 the price of the Elite Long cast. Now if they cast 3x further then we might be on to something.

That is a great price for the Type R. They are very smooth and long casting as well.

If you can get your hands on a Steez, try that one out. You will love it also.

Thanks for all the info. I think that I will go with an Elite.

Haven't touched an elite...but I can say the newer Tatula SV TWS are killer. Have 3 of them and they are becoming my favorite reels quickly.

I have a few SV TWS and Zillion SV TW. Both are great reels . I have larger hands, so they fit well. I switch the
spools out to ZPI spools, and they cast like a dream.
