I can't shoot and hit anything with a handgun while both feet firmly planted on land. God forbid if I tried in a boat. The results would probably be deadly and not for the snake.

Try fishing from a float tube in snake country. That's where the real action is.

Brother in law bought a gun around 1980 from mail order for snakes.
It was a 22 semi auto and would tear the snakes up and a lot of fun doing it

I've got two already. But for now I'm going to stick to the pellet gun for my snake attempted murdering

Good, I don’t want to be on the same body of water with Tony Montana.
Ok, maybe once a year at Falcon

My grandpa said never shoot any critter unless you intend to eat it or it was a threat to your life.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools

Well I never met any of my grandparents so I missed out on that lesson.

I'll kill rats, mice, snakes if they cross my path and don't flee...now so far I haven't been successful in killing one because the things are damn hard to shoot, but I'm going to catch one slipping at some point.

What would you do if you saw BigFoot or mistook seeing a squatch in a kayak?

If you did not kill the snakes you would not see as many rats or mice.
