Some of this may have already been mentioned, but I'll focus on the boating and organizational aspect of it.

1. Limit the number of rods on your deck. You are much more likely to break something at night or trip and fall, so limit the number of rods and make your deck free of the extra clutter.
2. Don't worry so much about lighting things up. You end up blinding yourself and attracting bugs if you are concentrating on lighting up your boat. Just let your eyes adjust to the darkness, and use a small cap light for tying knots, etc.
3. Do an equipment check, and I don't mean fishing stuff. Phone, keys, wallet, whatever. Put it somewhere safe and know that things can get lost easily in the dark. One of my worst night fishing memories was the sound of my car keys splashing into the water after lifting a deck lid.
4. Plan where to launch based on what your fishing plan is. Better to drive a little further to a ramp than run the boat in the dark.

Oh, and one fishing tip. Boat ramps.
