When I took the picture above last week, I was thinking how peaceful and tame the area looked. From a distance the place looks pretty lame. The photo is looking out towards one of the islands called Joe Kemp Key that is where I've hooked up to some real monsters. This place is brutal. That was the last picture I took as the mosquitoes were about to carry me away. Best time of day to fish, hearing bait get busted and get swarmed. No amount of deet works and I didn't have my bug suit on. roflmao The pictures below are what paddling around those islands will get ya.

Nice pics. There are less mosquitos in the keys. Last time I was on Marco Island the no-seeums (biting midges) were so bad it was hard to stay outside.
