Many years ago when I was a young'un, we had a mouse problem. And the mouse liked to get in the drawers in our kitchen. So my mom was setting one of those snap traps and she hated setting those things 'cause she was skeered that they were going to snap on her. Anywho, she was intently managing the snap trap and I was watching. And just for fun, I slammed that kitchen drawer closed as hard as I could with a very loud bang.
I had to set the traps from then on.
Just yesterday, the boy and I were making breakfast for the wife and we were making canned biscuits. The boy had never opened any canned biscuits but he knows that loud pop they make and he was being all tentative about opening them. He carefully pulled the outside wrapping away and it came off, but no pop. Then he got a spoon to press on the secret spot to pop them open. He gently put the spoon to the biscuits and I yelled "hey" about as loud as I could. He just about hit the ceiling when he jumped.

When I’m teaching someone how to do simple electrical work we always start by turning off the breaker. I will check to be sure the circuit is dead before I let my student get to work, then stand behind and observe while instructing. Once the rookie gets to the point that wiring is exposed and he’s concentrating, I clap my hands.
If I’m doing the work and he’s watching me, once I’m in and wiring is exposed, I’ll grab a wire and start dancing like I’m being electrocuted then reach out trying to grab him. They’re always well out of reach and terrified.
It never gets old.

I had an old Skeeter SS-1 Fisherman with a 40hp Mariner on the back. The boat would do about 35-40 max. I was driving full open throttle heading into a cove and intent on watching for stumps, and my fishing partner was in the passenger seat. Just for fun, he screams out "HEY!!" at the top of his lungs. Scared me so bad, I ram the throttle lever back so fast water came up over the back. He was laughing his azz off. Good times, good times.

This guy Jack Vale cracks me up with some of his stuff. Reminds me of the old Roy D. Mercer calls that were hilarious. The guy he is talking to (the owner of the lawnmower ad) is pretty funny as well.

My favorite all time was when he called the chiropractor because his wife had gone in for those mybrain headaches and what ever he did, it caused her to lose her sex drive. I mean he even met her at the door in saran wrap and didn't even get a blink out of her.

My dad got me on the lake many years ago when the electronics were just "flasher" graphs. We were coming out of a cove about as fast as out little boat could go and I didn't see him adjust the sensitivity on the flasher which made it look like we were running over a brazillion trees.

Over 20 years ago I was 16 or 17 running trot lines with my best friend, his dad, and his dad's best friend. At the time his dad took fishing pretty seriously and busted his butt catching a couple thousand pounds of catfish every year. His dad was running the line and my buddy winked at me, leaned over, and jerked on the trot line really hard making his dad think there was a monster catfish on the line. Once his dad realized what he had done, the death glare he gave him was something I'll never forget. I had to stifle my laughter because I thought he was about to throw whoever laughed in the lake. My buddy and I had a good laugh about it once we were back on dry land and out of ear shot.

Hold some water in your hand and throw it at someone while pretending to sneeze . Probably not a good idea right now .

we had a fellow employee who would steal lunches. We knew who, but couldn't catch him. One day he stole a cat poop taco. That broke him of stealing food. Brownies laced with ex-lax .

I used to make fake turds from plaster of Paris, paint them brown, and leave them at various spots.
