The boat traffic was horrible at Medina yesterday and its not even a Holiday yet ! Fishing was not good either, not one fisherman I spoke with said they had done well. The lake continues to fade away and some ramps will be unusable soon. Joe's Place was at capacity at 10am and shut the gate. From the looks of it Red's Cove Marina was getting there as well. Debra Are these pic's from both Joe's and Red's? Either way, that's crazy!!

Yikes! When they cut that line off, I don't know if you would consider yourself lucky or trapped?

That was the line to get into Red's, as Joe's gate was shut at 10am. Unfortunately some of them did not know and then had no room to turn around when they got to Joe's it was a mess!

Is it just me, or does it seem like this lake is getting more traffic than normal? I know the lakes always a cluster, but I’ve never seen lines like that before. Maybe some of the LBJ and Canyon groups are traveling here now.

Maybe some of the LBJ and Canyon groups are traveling here now. I would have to agree with you, more traffic. The LBJ and Canyon crew should not be visiting as their lakes have plenty of water, they are at 95% capacity. If it was a holiday weekend I would understand this, people are so anxious to get out they are flocking to the lakes as there is nothing else open to keep them occupied. Debra

This is why I drive 1.5 to 2 hrs to fish a lake other than the city lakes that aren’t very good fishing anyway. The jet fleas, lake lice and ski boats can have Medina and Canyon.

The problem is SA has grown faster than they can keep up with the roads and people continue to move here. This area is lacking big time in lakes anyway, and it isn't going to get any better in the foreseeable future.

Canyon has been packed every day. Its because of the shut down. Everyone is free to go out during the week now.

This^ Exactly what DFW, specifically North FTW has been going through for the last 10 yrs.

Fishing is decent. Went out yesterday afternoon for all of an hour, just to run the boat mostly. Fished for all of 15min and caught two decent sized ones in 15' off 10" ribbon tail worms. Good trip until someone backed into my trailer, pealing off one of the back buckels...

So what's the crowd situation at Red's during the week? I'd like to get some early morning fishing in next week but do not like crowd hassles at the boat ramps.

And zero lakes AFAIK. .

I10 has been being worked on by the great grand fathers of those who are now working on that project. By the time any of this construction is finished it will be obsolete and they'll just start over again.
