I believe you folks relate to fishing all day till your trolling motors are done then the cranking battery won't start your outboard and your 5 miles from the ramp.

today ordered an NOCOGB40 on Amazon for $59.95

checked and found out I had a 27 series cranking battery with 3 years use I'll upgrade to 29 series right away

I've tried the jumper cables from my trolling batteries but it didn't crank the motor. maybe because by the time I drew down the cranking battery I had drawn down my 24 v trolling motor system too. Maybe there's a special way to do it. I just hooked the closest deep cycle battery to the cranking battery.

4Diesel offered the suggestion of the emergency start system which is the best idea I've never heard of before.

Thanks all, TFF remains the best bass forum in the country!

Good fishing all!

Weego 66 is a beast of a jumper box. 660 cranking amps. I bought one to use for my diesel john deere tractor after smoking a smaller one. Its a new model for 2019 and worked so good I bought 2 more.

Ive loaned it out at the ramp twice already this year.

Better than jumper cables. It’s always there and easy to use if needed...

Thanks for the help fellas.

HUH??

If you have a trolling motor, you have a secondary electrical system to "jump" your motor off
