Thanks for the replies, I have Foremost aka Farmers, but for some random reason they have decided to raise my rates 20% without a claim or anything. And I've been with them for going 5 years.
So, I have been shopping around and got a pretty decent quote through Progressive...

I've had to file a couple of claims with Progressive. Adjuster was quick to look at boat and gave me a fair judgement each time.

I've been looking also. Bob with World Marine Underwriters has a great price. Atlantic Specialty Ins Co. has the best rate's and coverages that I could find Cheaper than Safeco, Progressive.

Had Progressive for about 8 years, had 2 claims and it was ezy-peezy. No arguments, no hassle and my rates barely went up. (2nd claim had no deductible) Switched to another recommended company when I got my new boat, received a notice in the mail saying the company was no longer doing boat insurance in the second year. Called Bob and now I'm back with Progressive.
I would never have an auto premium with them but the RV, boat, motorcycle stuff seems to be legit.

I use Progressive. They're inexpensive and no claims in 15 years. Having said that I am going to investigate this guy when my policy expires as he is a bass boat specialist :
Bob Lewellen Marine Specialty Insurance 1-800-339-1235 I used Bob for mine and my policy is with Progressive. Ben Green insurance is another one that is top notch as well.

I won't use them. They are a top five Liberal company that George Soros owns.

I've had Progressive boat insurance for about 6 years. First claim was for when my Hawk was swamped in a storm and totaled. They paid off the loan and then about a month later sent me a check for $3500 for the reels I lost in the rod compartment full of sand. Two years ago my Bumble Bee got up on a T-post and put a tear in the bottom of the boat. The estimate for repair was $2500 so they ended up putting a gator hull on it for the cost of the repair.
IN both cases they were very easy to work with and I am happy to continue my policy with them forever George Soros or not.

We had a pontoon boat (don't ask) in Tennessee blown out of the water by a tornado that hit the marina. Progressive came and looked at it, the guy shook his head, and wrote me a check for agreed value. Honestly I thought it was fixable but didn't argue since the agreed value was what we paid for the boat.

I don't care if santa clause owns them as long as they take care of me and have good rates. I have a commercial policy with them and got horrible hail damage. Adjuster came out quick and took care of everything

Soros owns Progressive. I would never do business with them. Just keeping it real. I got mine through Farmer's who handles my home and autos. Very competitive. They do outsource it but it was very reasonable. I had State Farm for YEARS. I made a claim for $1200 for some fiberglass work. Normally, I would have paid cash but there had been a string of "small" expenditures that year that was adding up. A year later, they dropped me. I have been using Bob Lewellen (Progressive) for about 2 years now. I will know how well they treat me if I ever have to make a claim. Oh yea; Progressive was a lot less expensive for the same coverage.

All my Skeeters have been insured by Progressive since 1997, several claims on trailers as well as boats($10,000 fiberglass damage on one boat, lower units, prop shafts, etc. on the others. No rate increases paying less every year, as the matter of fact I'm their highest tier, as in no waiting on calls etc., LOL Go figure!!

I won't use them. They are a top five Liberal company that George Soros owns. I never knew that , Is that an actual fact? Progressive is a publicly traded company with a $45B market cap. Soros invested in them through a hedge fund along with several other hedge funds. He made large donations to liberal causes which were the same that one of the early Progressive founders also invested in. I think his name was Pete Lewis. Known to be pretty liberal. Lewis passed several years ago. Soros is the same age as Warren Buffet and isn’t running Progressive.
