I said last week they should sign Dalton, no way to prove it but i believe his won loss record would be within a game of Dak's. No matter what anyone says, Jerry has played his trump card, not going to be any tail wagging the dog around here. yep this Jerry is a lot of things. He is definitely a good businessman

This was a bad deal,according to Dez. So take that for what its worth. Personally I like the move as it gives Cows a chance if Dak goes down.

Agree, he will compete well with Dak, but the ceiling for Dak is higher.
The big knock on Dalton has been his playoff record (0-6) including two losses to far less skilled Texans teams. What was Romo’s record?

 Don't be surprised if he becomes their starter. I don't think Dalton is an upgrade. Good QB and glad they signed him but he is not better in my opinion. He's an upgrade over Cooper Rush but not Prescott.

Definitely a huge upgrade over Rush, I think he is on the same level as Dak, not great and not bad, put a bunch of weapons around either one of them and they will win games, no weapons and neither will elevate the team to win.

Good signing from an insurance perspective.The odds of Prescott taking every snap for 16 games is small. Injuries happen.Will have more confidence when Dalton goes in instead of Rush.

If and when they have a preseason Dalton will play at least a half maybe more during the first game, and that's to preserve Dak of course.
It won't take long the first time Dak falters that you will hear......An....dy An....dy An....dy coming from the stands, especially if he plays well.
Dalton became Jones' ace in the hole, and Daks incentive to sign.
Just one more cast!

I think they signed him not only as a way above average backup, but I believe they think he will help Dak become a better QB. A handful of downs in a game if Dak gets dinged , or goes off for concussion check, AD will keep the ball moving. I love it, the Boys have not had a decent #2 QB in forever. He was under a lot of pressure in Cincy to do too much for a [censored] team the last few years, I disagree with the comment "the Boys have not had a decent #2 QB in forever". His name is Dak Prescott.
