Grew up fishing the bank on Texoma. Used to catch plenty of hybrid/sand bass doing that with roadrunners.
There are lots LMB still very shallow there right now, but soon they will be relating to marinas and deeper rocky points and brush piles.

The state park is fun to bank fish if you have reason to be there specifically...camping etc. If not, you can park at the ramp west of the dam and walk in through the gate. I have been going in the evening before sunset. Some striper will feed on the surface early morning and late evening. Nearly any topwater bait you throw they will crush when they are hitting the surface. You can pick up the occasional largemouth or smallie cruising through.
