I was blessed enough that I got to fish Fork before it was ever opened to public. Those were the days.

Great handle OTFF. What were you too young to know better. My friend and I were wearing out Bob Sandlin. Bouncing back and forth to Fork. Used to tent camp under the huge old oak tree on the main lake point at Mustang Resort. Later at Pope's old man Pope used to come and eat supper with us after we cooked it using the boat for a table. He told us he paid for that place cutting cord wood.

If you spent much time at Mustang Resort our paths must have crossed. I basically lived out there. Ha. That old point sure changed over the years. I fly fished every inch around MR. I would wade out and fly fish the moss beds. I caught several 6+ pound bass there on my fly rod rigged with trout leaders and poppers. It was a blast. Man the memories just flood back. Bet I ate BBQ down at EB’s 3 times a week. I didn’t venture over to the east side of the lake too much but fished from the dam all the way down to 19 on the Emory side. Good times. Used to slay the ducks right across from Popes and above 19 bridge.
