Tying the Foam Grasshopper - Beavertail Variant #flyfishing Here is the video on tying the Foam Grasshopper variant using a size 4 hook and a Beavertail foam cutter to make the body. So far, has worked on Bass and Bluegill at our local pond! Do try tying this simple but effective pattern on Bass in your area!

More Duck Creek Fly Fishing for Sunfish #maxcatchAnother stop on the commute this morning. Back to Duck Creek with the Foam Grasshopper Beavertail variant. Saw several Bass but no takers. Luckily, the Sunfish were active! One was a nice sized one that put a bend in the Discount Switch Rod!
