That's the Elm Fork. I haven't fished it there lately, but I'm sure while the current is up, the fishing will be best, if you can work through the current and snags.

You can eat fish from any part of the Elm Fork.

That water comes directly out of lake lewisville.. I have taken a small john boat up to the damn from there.. It is about 10 miles...

I live right next to the river and right now we are fixing my friends boat. Some of my other friends go up the river ands set up trot lines for catfish. They caught 2 40 lb flatheads about 2 weeks ago. Ill see if i can get the pictures up soon

I have fished there but not since the rain. I may just have to hit it this weekend. What were they fishing with??

As far as i know they were using perch and small shad. They usually set them up and check back 1 or 2 days later. They go up the river like an 1/8 mile and have trotlines set up. They also have some near 121. These are just 2 of the fish that they have caught.

i went back down there for about 2 hours and did some bank fishing with shad. No luck. I did catch a couple of brem with worms though ... LOL at least i didnt get totally skunked. I also tried below the spillway but the current was just too strong. May trie it again monday morning if we dont get more rain...


BTW good looking fish!
