Interesting that Dallas County considers liquor stores to be essential??? Is there a need to keep first responders busy (with DWI incidents/accidents)? That is an interesting thing to ponder. There are quite a few functional alcoholics in our population who manage to not get DWI's. But let them not have access to whatever liquor they like and they get real hard to live with. To the point of being a problem. I suspect there would be a huge surge in illegal shine crafted by folks who don't really know what they are doing. Think back to prohibition and "bathtub gin". I don't consume any alcohol of any sort these days, but I have had quite a bit of experience in the past with it and seen plenty of others. Probably more DWI cases caused by beer than the other forms combined. All this is just an opinion and I haven't researched it.

Could easily kill him in 72 hours. When I went to rehab I didn't have to take any of the medicine to come off the booze but I was around some people that did. And it was scary.

I build custom cars and hot rods. Our shop is staying open(at least they are gonna try), but I volunteered to stay home. I just don’t think that building cars for drug dealers and football players is essential. I am not one to go against the law and I feel that is what I’d be doing if I was selfish and went to work. I have nest egg or two, so I plan on dipping into it if needed and I’m also going fishing.

I believe that is what I heard also. Not sure if that is the same for all counties, but I think that was mentioned for Dallas County.

Collin county just announced that all work is to be essential. People that run Collin County are smarter than Jenkins. At least Jenkins is smart enough to know better then shutting down liquor stores. It may have something to do with federal law. I believe it was the feds that repealed prohibition.

I received a document today via email from my CEO. It is to be carried by me when doing my job and if I'm confronted, flash the doc. This enables me to maintain normal work patterns during this global outbreak because our company has been deemed a critical infrastructure due to being a part of the food and agriculture sector. But what customer really wants to see me? I sure don't care to see any of them.....I think I'll hold out and just fish a little more. We did not get one of those. Although I could print an email that our parent company sent. I guess I will worry about when some redneck LEO in Balch Springs pulls me over or maybe I will get to meet one of Garland's finest. Something I have not had the pleasure of since high school. 4 of of us got pulled over by some dude that thought he was Dirty Harry. He was convinced that our pot fields were nearby.
