Haven't had a lot of time to dig into it, but Im already scratching my head.

Took the tin boat out week before last and have lost all power besides the outboard. Motor starts and runs great, but have lost everything else. All no power to any of the console switches and even don't have power at the trolling motor (really bugs me because that a whole different battery.

Checked all Fuses under the dash and they are fine. No relay at the cranking battery, only a inline fuse.

I have to be missing something, but its weird that I have power for the outboard but nothing for anything else.

Any ideas?

I don’t own a tracker but I would be looking for a fuse.

You probably have either a ground issue (my guess) or a main fuse/circuit breaker problem.

Check all the battery cable connections to the trolling motor both front and back. Make sure they are not loose or corroded. Take a known good battery and hook up the battery cables at the rear that go to the trolling motor direct to battery and see if the trolling motor will work. The trolling motor should have a circuit breaker to protect it but you can hook it up direct to test it. If it works hooked up direct, find the circuit breaker/fuse and reset or replace it. If it does not work, go to the front of the boat and check the connections where the battery cables connect to the trolling motor again.

On the cranking battery, if the motor will start, you know the battery is good, so start looking for a tripped breaker or a loose/broken ground (this is the most likely issue). Most of the instruments are powered by the same wire harness, so if a ground comes loose, it kills everything.

Fish Finders should be wired directly to the battery. If they are not, rewire them so that they are. Do not spllce them into the harness at the console.

Grounds are the most common. Fuses/Circuit breakers are easier to find and fix.
