I have never fished these lakes. I know that people have good luck catching freshwater reds.
Has anyone had any luck with the hybrid stripers?

You can catch them all over in both lakes but to catch them consistently requires a little work. If you are bank fishing, then you need to wade out on the points and soak some shad, or throw some rattle traps if there aren't that many lines around you, rarely the case. You might catch a few in the coves but the points are much more consistent. In a boat you have several options, hit the deeper water off the points, head out to the discharge areas and fish the current, or fish the rocks along the dams. Rattle traps cover more water in a boat but soaking shad works well too. good luck.
