My Mom's in a home and I expect them to cut off access to visitors at any minute. I joke around a lot, too. Icepick. But the time for joking about Covid-19 is over. No one will be joking about it in a couple more weeks.

That is tough for you guys and your parents. Probably the prudent thing to do, but still really tough. Hang in there. Agree that the time for joking is past.

Just heard Houston is cancelling the remaining rodeo shows that were supposed to run through March 22. That's a huge event.

Because there is an over reaction going on by the masses doesnt make that a reasonable response.

Because there is an over reaction going on by the masses doesnt make that a reasonable response. I'm glad your child recovered from the flu. Dr. Anthony Fauci, NIAID director; “We have got to assume it is going to get worse and worse and worse,” said Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, adding that Americans should not assume the virus will die off in warmer weather, as President Trump has repeatedly said. “People always say, ‘Well, the flu does this, the flu does that.’ The flu has a mortality of 0.1 percent. This has a mortality of 10 times that,” Dr. Fauci said. "It is going to be totally dependent on how we respond to it. I can't give you a realistic number" at this point, Mr Fauci told lawmakers. But, if the federal response is not accurate, it "could be many, many millions," he said before quickly stressing that an "aggressive" response could allow federal, state and local governments "contain it."

So far in Ohio you cannot visit prisons, large gatherings are being canceled and/or restricted, pretty much all cleaning supplies and toilet paper is gone. Also all colleges in my area have canceled in resident classes and switched to online. This is from the community college on up to The Ohio State. The governor is now considering K-12 cancellations.
I believe the threat is real, I have more than enough supplies to keep us good for 2-3 weeks.

Flu kills more than Ebola too. But I’d take my chances with the flu.
