You downloaded a ZIP file, did you unzip the Boatlane's files out of the ZIP to your SD-card?

I have used both without issue. The Lake Fork Guide Lanes chip will require a better understanding of GPS and how to navigate with it, LV is fool proof, the Guide Lane chip will require you to pay very close attention to how closely you follow the lanes in the while on the new trails. With both you need to pay attention to the map scale. The larger the map scale the larger chance you have for error. The smaller scale increases accuracy. The quality of your GPS equipment also comes into play. These mapping units are not created equal. Garmin has always had the fastest refresh rate, this will give you the most accurate positioning. The best advice is proceed with caution when navigating by GPS.
