Guy I work with is home sick with bad flu like symptoms. He lives in Frisco. Went to the doctor Thursday but they didn't test him for corona virus.

Just heard on the news a man in Frisco tested positive and is self quarantined.
Yep... and he has kids in Frisco schools. It's now in north Texas... awesome. It was called Presumptive Positive. I assume that means not 100% verified.

Yep... and he has kids in Frisco schools. It's now in north Texas... awesome. It was called Presumptive Positive. I assume that means not 100% verified. KXXV 25 in Waco didn't play semantics, they just said a man in Frisco tested positive. Presumed positive means the first test given was positive. I don't know if the CDC gives a "100% verified" follow up but I'll stay tuned to see if they give you a 100% verification.

American and Delta just announced some fairly large reductions in flights and service. Mostly international but also some domestic. Through the summer in some cases. I'm telling ya fellers, this is going to be very, very bad for the U.S. economy. Analysts are just now beginning to lower expectations for GDP and profits going forward. Just wait until they show us the REAL projections.

Just wait until they show us the REAL projections. Last I saw which was a week or two ago, Goldman Sachs had adjusted their forecast to show zero 'average' year over year profit growth for US businesses. That report is what initially set off the market slide. United has also cut a bunch of flights. I fly every other week and legs that have always been available are now canceled.

I’m confused....
All the data points to this being a media hyped over reaction....
Then today, CDC comes out with an advisory that if you are over 60 and have chronic medical conditions you should stay home.
I am 73, I am T2D, and have recurring problems with bronchitis. Heck, I am undergoing treatment right now for bronchitis.

Considering your age and risk factors, you should avoid large gatherings of people (conventions, airports, big box stores.). If I was retired, I’d only leave the house if absolutely necessary and clean and disinfect everything It’s as contagious as the common cold, but deadlier than the flu. That is not a good combination. It’s likely both airborne and droplets spread. The droplet transmission is particularly sinister in that the virus can stay alive on a surface for 9 or so days Clean and disinfect all surfaces, wash and sanitize your hands, don’t touch your face or other peoples faces
