I usually set mine out around the 1st of April. That would be cool to get that many. I get like 3 or 4 and they fight the others off. It is cool watching the miniature dog fights.

I've never put one out but would like to. Any tips on placement, nectar recipe, etc...? Will they find it on their own?

Nectar recipe is 4:1 water / sugar. No color needed. Yes, they will find it. Hummingbirds know what feeders look like.

‘Bout three more weeks this far north.
Love watching the little guys...

Our Hummingbird feeder. Allie just told me she saw a hummer fly up on to one of our security cameras this morning. So they're here! Honey bees were mobbing this tree a couple hours ago.

Map at Hummingbird Central has a Ruby sighting near Houston. There's another reported way up in north-central Arkansas but I doubt that it's a real sighting, mistaken identity or faux.
