That would be cool to get that many. I get like 3 or 4 and they fight the others off. It is cool watching the miniature dog fights.

I've never put one out but would like to.
Any tips on placement, nectar recipe, etc...?
Will they find it on their own?

Nectar recipe is 4:1 water / sugar. No color needed. Yes, they will find it. Hummingbirds know what feeders look like.

‘Bout three more weeks this far north.

Love watching the little guys...

And, as a career aviator, I remain in awe of their flying skills.

Our Hummingbird feeder. Allie just told me she saw a hummer fly up on to one of our security cameras this morning. So they're here!

Honey bees were mobbing this tree a couple hours ago.

Here is the 2020 migration (sightings) map. I do no know how often it gets updated.

Map at Hummingbird Central has a Ruby sighting near Houston.
There's another reported way up in north-central Arkansas but I doubt that it's a real sighting, mistaken identity or faux.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

Here are some pictures I took a few years back. I was sitting on the porch. One of them flew right at me and hovered about a foot from me..
