there both pretty big but both are great yaks. here a good yak to. for a hundred bucks less

the black thing on the kayak is dry storage for cell phones and anything you dont want wet

Beware. Dry is a relative term, and both of those boats will take on about a cup of water an hour, as do most boats. Use a dry bag for the wallet, keys, cell phone, etc. or they will be wet.

That said, the Drifter is a much better boat than the scrambler. If you can afford it get the drifter, if not the Scrambler will get you by (I have two)

I will assume you are talking about the Speck. The speck is just a Scrambler made for Academy. They are a good kayak for the price. The only downfall to that boat is the narrow seat, which gives some of the bigger guys problems with comfort. I believe it is made out of slightly thinner material (I may be wrong). I believe that is how they keep the price down. This would not cause you any major problems, just don't store it in the sun, and don't drag it while loading. That goes with all kayaks though.

i am only 13 and pretty skinny so i dont think the width would matter
