10 day forecast for most of East Texas looks pretty good. No freezes called for.

North Texas looks nice, too.

Our oaks are busting out. Some dogwoods already with young leaves. It's early. Global warming they say !

Peach tree here is in full bloom. Orange tree is starting to bust wide open. Mountain laurels and huisache have been going for a while now. I've spotted bluebonnets on the side of the road around town all the way up to 1431 in Marble Falls.

Spring is here.

Yep been hearing a few geese here up in north Texas.

I saw some blue bonnets blooming a couple days ago. I gave them a drink of 2-4-D.

Trees are blooming in my neighborhood.

I thought Cane's already had chains in Oklahoma.

yeah, I noticed that Austin was colder than DFW. I am surprised the cranes ever headed south.

I heard some that sounded like...kawka, kawka...pause...pause...kawka, kawka.

We will have one more freeze with some ice before springs here. But truly we haven’t had a winter in about 4 or 5 years.

Cranes are not headed north.

36 over here near Big Sam an dthe water temp has dropped a couple degrees in the last few days.

Every river feeding her is out of the banks so she is a rising!

I agree. Haven't seen an Easter in North Texas that has been warm in a long time.

Spring's coming. Hope we've seen the last of freezing nights until December. More realistically, don't expect that. The worst winter weather I've seen here in the Heart of America was in late March, cold, lots of snow, lots of wind. And cold.
Saw a small flock Friday, couple of larger flocks Saturday. Martens and hummers won't be too far behind. D**n skeeters already here.

Couple pics from the spring migration through Colorado last year. Pretty neat. Heading back up there next week and planning to stop by again.
