Any experience with big fish 120? Never been in one. By the looks it will be stable but not easy to paddle. It is heavy too but again will be stable. I've heard guys complain about paddling the Feel Free Lure 11.5 which is basically the same kayak (made by the same company). If you come across a used Old Town Predator 13 that would also be a good choice. New they are pricey. This would also be a good one IMO depending on where you're located. https://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/boa/d/fort-worth-new-2019-native-kayak/7068980555.html

I was dying to get another paddler, something I could toss on the truck bed and take off. You know, two rods, two Plano boxes, and a smile on my face. So, I was looking online and saw a new 2020 Native Ultimate FX 12 Pro and with a discount it was only $854. It was part of normal inventory coming in so on the way from the factory in a day or two. 12'2", 30.5" beam, 60 lbs. w/o its seat, 65 with, 350 lbs. stated capacity, front bow hatch cover (not shown in this pic but standard), under-seat storage standard, seat has high/low feature and can be trimmed forward and back, one anchor trolley standard, lots of gear track standard, rod stagers standard. I really like Native's seats by the way. This doesn't have scuppers, no "bilge" area so canoe-like with nothing between your feet and the water except a single thickness of plastic. This means you stand and sit a bit lower, so a lower center of mass. I'll report back after I get it and get her wet. Brad P.S. The truly best < $1000 kayak is a lightly used vessel where the previous owner has taken care of it. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/02/full-95200-41695-fx_12_pro.jpg)

A great paddler and I have posted several recommendations people take a look at it since it first came out. The 12XC sort of reminds me of a slightly smaller version of a standard Jackson Big Rig. What is so great about it is, like the Big Rig, how many standard features it has that one otherwise has to go purchase in the accessories market. Kayak Accessories Market = $$$ Pricey. Not at all certain what Native is doing this year with some really big price drops so I'd check used prices against what you could get a brand new 2020 one for. Still, sounds like a pretty danged good deal. Brad

Great minds think alike! I didn't notice that you had already posted link. I do know that we had to go through a lot of boat pics to find it though.
