I have around 14 of the other SV’s. Awesome reels, going to have to pick one of these up!

Agreed, with the t-wing if you flip a lot and keep a finger under the line as if goes in the reel it will bunch up in the middle. Have to make a cast and reel back in just to lay it level again.

I bought a 8.1 to 1 Tatula SV TW last month and took it with me to Mexico for 6.5 days of fishing two weeks ago. After 2 days of fishing it was making grinding noise and was hard to reel. Back at the lodge that night I oiled it, next day after 10 or so fish it was grinding again. I am impressed with the casting distance, just not the performance so far. I broke it all the way down and cleaned, greased and oiled it. Will try it out this weekend, but so far I'm not impressed. My chronarchs just need a little oil and they just keep on ticking.

I’ve had a similar wonderful experience with my Zillion TWS reels.

The one you have is most likely the previous generation. I'd highly encourage you to come and put your hands on one of the newer ones. As for your old one, you can bring it in to us after your trip if you'd like and we'd be happy to take a look at it and figure out what's going on. We have a gentleman here who excels at repairing and tuning Daiwa and Shimano reels smile

I need to try one of these out. I have quite a few Daiwa reels and no SV models.

I like the Daiwa CT for moving baits and the SV TW for jigs and soft plastics. Awesome reels.
I just got the 2020 Tatula SV CT today and have to say I have never seen the show room at Fun N Sun that full of new Skeeters, most of them sold. That new design seems to be a very hot item.
