He said the other boat, a 20-foot Triton, was occupied by an older couple, perhaps in their mid-70s.
"I was so shook up that it took me a minute before I could say anything. Their response was really weird – I know it was a mistake, but they never even apologized. They could've easily killed me or broke me up, but it didn't seem to faze them at all. I told them I didn't know what to do other than call the cops, so the next 5 hours was all about filling out reports and whatnot."
Wow! When some people get older they lose thier perception of what goes on around them.

Banana in the boat I only caught part of that discussion. What’s the bad juju with the banana? And is Shaw stuck? Looks like his big motor is on but he said he is stuck but I missed most of that, too.

Looks like his big motor is on but he said he is stuck but I missed most of that, too. Supposedly it is bad luck to have a banana on the boat. If you are superstitious then it will affect you for sure. He ran up on a plat area that was a little shallower than his map showed and it took a few minutes to finally get off of it. That is when he grabbed the banana for a snack!

Just read on the live Blog that anglers were permitted to trailer to the ramp of their choice to avoid long runs. Winds are supposed to gust up to 30mph on the Big O, today. Hats off to MLF for keeping safety in mind. Better to trailer than cancel a day. Maybe BASS will wake up and try this next time they're met with tough conditions.

Trailering for this tournament has nothing to do with this accident...
When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip! #Brockstarama

Trailering for this tournament has nothing to do with this accident... True. But neither does the thread title. Hats off to MLF for keeping safety in mind. Better to trailer than cancel a day. Maybe BASS will wake up and try this next time they're met with tough conditions. I always wondered why BASS never considers this. I understand that some bodies of water it may not be possible but most certainly have enough ramps in good locations to make it work.
