Users should consider them docking lights, not "headlights". The Coast Guard regulations prohibit the use of lights that pose a blinding effect on other boaters. That is exactly what these lights will do. Running the open lake with those "headlights" on will get a citation from a knowledgeable LEO. I understand from discussion with TPWD that inappropriate use of such lights has resulted in issuance of citations from their view, so this isn't just "theory". Specific mention was for using a bright white light mounted as part of the trolling motor base. Bright lights mounted in the hull are almost certainly going to be viewed the same. Those lights should only be turned on for DOCKING. There is no such thing as a marine "headlight".

Allison's are fast Boats, but just not my cup of tea. I'll stick with my Ranger. I don't need to go 80+ MPH
